Pride Group emerges the as fastest growing hotel chain in India

‘To set up 200 room luxury hotel in New Delhi with an investment of 150 crores’

As a part of its massive expansion plan ‘Pride Group of Hotels’ this year has successfully unveiled three properties adding 200 rooms to its kitty, thereby achieving a 25% growth. It has now won the ‘fastest growing hotel chain award’ instituted by "Hospitality India & Explore the World Annual International Awards 2009".

Year this year Pride Group unveiled the 50 room Luxury resort at Jaipur, followed by 48 rooms Pride Biznotel in Ranipet.  The group recently launched a Luxury Five Star hotel in Bangalore initially with 100 luxurious rooms with an investment of 75 crores. The Pride Bangalore offers four Conference Halls which can accommodate between 25 to 1000 persons. An additional 40 rooms are proposed to be added in due course. The Bangalore Hotel is a member of the International Sterling Hotels, Preferred Hotel Group.

 

With the above additions, the Pride Group of Hotels now offers 1000 rooms with a host of Banquet and conferencing facilities at its existing ten hotels across the country. By 2015 Pride Hotels intends to have 30 hotels with 3,000 luxurious rooms in 30 cities to emerge as a national hotel chain.

Pride Hotels today announced the opening of its first property in the national capital by setting up a 200 rooms Five Star Deluxe Hotel in New Delhi. The company will invest Rs. 150 crores to set up the New Delhi property that will be operational in 2011. Conveniently located close to the International Airport the Hotel will comprise of 200 rooms each boasting of tastefully adorned décor, luxurious ambience, 24 hr coffee shop and 2 specialty restaurants that seamlessly into the traveler’s scheme of things.

Negotiations are at an advanced stage for 72 rooms Pride Biznotel at Noida and 80 rooms Pride Biznotel at Gurgaon to be operated under Management and Marketing contact. These two hotels are scheduled to be commissioned in the year 2010. The group will also expand its footprints in Mumbai, Kolkata, Goa, Hyderabad and Alibaug and other leading business and leisure destinations.

Announcing the developments, S.P Jain, Managing Director, Pride Hotels Limited says, “Even as the hotel industry worldwide faces the squeeze from the global economic slowdown we continue to embark on a rapid path of expansion. We aim to triple the number of properties from the current 10 within the next five years adding hotels in all the three categories of five star, business hotels and resorts thus emerging as the third largest hotel chain in India”.

Hoping to cash in on the growing business travelers, Pride Group is scaling its operations to focus more on ‘Pride Biznotel’, moderately priced, upscale, full service, business and leisure hotels. Satyen Jain, CEO, Pride Hotels Limited says “While five-star hotels in India are at par with global competitors, there is a near absence of internationally acceptable three-star and four-star Hotels. We aim to bridge this gap by expanding Pride Biznotel to multiple locations to meet the discerning needs of the budget traveler”.
