Reliance Infrastructure Limited (RInfra), the Mumbai's largest power distribution company, will be deputing special squads for the World cup finale to be held in Mumbai. RInfra, has taken adequate measures to ensure that the 2.7 million consumers can enjoy uninterrupted live telecast of tomorrow's final match between two cricketing giants, India and Sri Lanka.

RInfra, in addition to its existing squads at its various maintenance substations, will be deputing Special Squads, to meet exigencies arising out of the situation. Currently RInfra has 18 maintenance depots spread over its licensed distribution area; where these Special Squads consisting of 3 persons have been deputed. In all, there would be a team of around 60 people in addition to the normal manpower existing at these maintenance depots.

The technology execution on the distribution network has already reduced the down time by more than 60%. To reiterate, RInfra's distribution network operates at 99.98% supply reliability index; which is one of the best in the country.

"RInfra has made adequate arrangements to meet the entire power requirement of our consumers. The 28 lakh consumers of Rinfra will continue to get uninterrupted and quality power supply. As Mumbai's premier utility company, we stand committed to serve our consumers relentlessly," the company said in a statement.
