S L Raheja (A Fortis Associate) Hospital, Mahim, today announced the launch of their Cardiac Unit, bringing comprehensive cardiac care with an intergrated approach under one roof. Led by a team of specialized and highly experienced interventional cardiologists & cardiac surgeon, the new Cardiac Centre provides treatment for cardiovascular disease from prevention to diagnostic. It would offer comprehensive customised treatment programs backed by the latest technology in treatment of cardiac diseases. 

The 140 bedded cardiac unit would function with a highly efficient team of doctors specialising in Cardiovascular Thoracic surgeries with expertise in Total Arterial off Pump Bypass with Aortic-No-Touch, Valvectomies and Minimally Invasive Bypass surgeries. The experienced team of Doctors includes leading Cardiologists like Dr. Debabrata Dash, Dr. S. S. Ambardekar, Dr. Prakash Sanzgiri, Dr. Anil Sharma, Dr. Ajit Kumar Menon & Dr. Haresh Mehta and Cardiac Surgeon Dr. K. K. Saha. The unit also has well trained nurses and dedicated support staff to cater to the critical care cardiac patients. Cardiac rehabilitation which is a critical factor post every cardiac surgery to regain endurance, physical fitness and to improve ADS (Activities of Daily Living) has also been given special attention at this state of the art facility.

 

A well equipped OPD with Tread Mill Test (TMT), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Holter, an Electrocardiography (ECG) unit and a state-of-the-art Catheterization Laboratory has the hospital prepared for most cardiac problems. This unit has the latest & the most advanced Cardiac Care equipment including Artis zee floor-mount C-Arm Cath Lab which offers outstanding 3D image quality, so that the doctor can make better clinical decisions.
