Shemaroo Entertainment has licensed 70 titles from Studio Canal for home video distribution.
Some of the major titles Shemaroo has licensed are ‘Rambo Triology’, ‘Basic Instinct’, ‘Terminator 2’, ‘Cliffhanger’, ‘Red Sonja’, ‘Evil Death 2’, ‘Total Recall’, ‘Serpico’, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Universal Soldier’, ‘Raw Deal’, ‘Lock-Up’, ‘Escape from New York’, ‘Red Heat’, ‘The Graduate’, 4 titles from ‘Carry on Series’ and ‘Air America’ among others.
The DVDs of some of the major titles will have the extra feature of 5.1 surround sound, which is for the first time on a DVD in India.
Shemaroo has licensed these 70 titles for home video distribution for SAARC countries – India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives.
For more than two decades, Shemaroo has been making waves with their strong distribution of domestic Indian films; however this major deal augments Shemaroo’s presence in the international film category.
