Shree Cement Limited, the largest cement manufacturer of North India and among top five cement manufacturers in the country, also has a presence in the power generation sector with an installed captive power generation capacity of 260 MW and an additional merchant capacity of 300 MW to be added by end of this fiscal year.
Shree Cement is determined to enhance its presence in the power sector value chain through its power business development group i.e., Shree Power Trading, which has been recently granted Category –I, Interstate Power Trading license by CERC.

Shree Cement, which has been selling its surplus power in the recent years, will now start at power trading as an independent business activity, through, its division –Shree Power Trading. With the support of its experienced manpower and expertise in the power sector, Shree Power Trading division has plans to emerge as a significant player in the sector.
Shree Power Trading would undertake power-trading activities on all India basis by providing effective, reliable and pragmatic sale and purchase opportunities to different entities including Utilities Industries, Direct Open access customers and Captive power plants. Shree Power Trading proposes to offer a bouquet of products which include bilateral and exchange platforms, for long, medium and short term contracts and also facilitating banking arrangements.
