Q1FY12 performance –
- Net Sales at Rs 478.21 crore; up 14.96 %
- Net profit before Tax at Rs 33.79 crore as against Rs 26.34 crore in Q1FY11
- Net profit after Tax at Rs. 20.83 crore as against Rs 23.24 crore in Q1FY11
- EPS for the quarter at Rs 9.88 as compared to Rs 11.53
- EBIDTA of Rs 78.56 Crore for the quarter rose by 46.29%.
Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited (SLCL), an integrated textile player engaged in manufacturing and processing wide range of end-to-end textile products and technical textiles for the defence sector reported:
Net Sales of Rs 478.21 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, a year-on-year growth of 14.96 %
EBIDTA for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 rose by 46.29 % to Rs. 78.56 crore as compared to Rs 53.70 crore reported in the same quarter of last year
Net Profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 was Rs 20.83 crore as against Rs 23.24 crore in Q1FY11. The reason for decrease in Net Profit is basically due to deferred tax.
Earnings per share (Face Value of Rs. 10) for the quarter was Rs 9.88 as against Rs 11.53 in Q1FY11. The reason for decrease in Earnings per share is due to increase in number of shares coincided with lower net profit as compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
Commenting on the results, Dr. M. P Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Shri Lakshmi Cotsyn Limited said, “We are continuing with our quest for new products in the textile and defence segments. Our foray into the technical textile segment is the key factor for our growth. So far, the technical textile segment was limited in technology and sophistication, but the increasing focus of the government is likely to offer greater opportunities.”
