Somany Ceramics Ltd., one of the leading tile manufacturers in India, has today announced its financial results for thequarter ended June 30th 2010. The Profit before tax recorded an increase of37.5 % rising to Rs 7.26 crore from Rs. 5.28 crore in the same period last year. The company reported an increase of 32.88% in Net Sales to Rs. 132.34 crore against that of Rs. 99.59 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Abhishek Somany, Joint Managing Director, Somany Ceramics Ltd. Said, “Our current financial results indicate a strong performance on account of our efficiencies in productivity and strong retail base. We have started the production from our brownfield plant in Kassar (Haryana) on 14th June increasing our production capacity by 2.45 million sqmtrs”.
Speaking on the future outlook of the company he said, “We aim to grow more than 25% in the FY 2010-11 and will invest accordingly for expanding our business operations and upgrading our manufacturing facilities.”
