Suzlon Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL), the world's fifth leading wind turbine maker, named Mr. Robin Banerjee as its new Chief Financial Officer. He has joined the company with immediate effect.

Mr. Banerjee comes to Suzlon with a rich international experience across a diverse range of businesses. He has held senior leadership positions with responsibilities across global strategy, M&A, Finance, and Treasury amongst others, across various industries like FMCG, Steel, Auto Components and Travel.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Sumant Sinha, COO - Suzlon Energy, said, “We are pleased to welcome Robin Banerjee to Suzlon Energy’s management team. His broad financial experience and extensive expertise will not only bring tremendous value to the company but will also drive our prime focus on building value for our shareholders.”

The office of the CFO was previously shared between Mr. Kirti Vagadia, Head – Corporate Finance and Mr. Sumant Sinha. The Finance responsibilities for SEL will now transition to Mr. Banerjee as CFO, reporting to Mr. Sinha; while Mr. Vagadia will take over Group-level Finance responsibilities.
