“Sparsh aims at creating awareness about sex education on the mobile. Majority of Indians are still conservative about openly discussing and clearing doubts about the topic. Keeping this insight in mind, we have introduced Sparsh, which offers the customer complete privacy in accessing this information through a simple IVR call,” Mr. Zubin Jimmy Dubash, VP, New Product Development - VAS, TATA DOCOMO, said.

Most importantly, it is a service where the content is certified by FPAI thus overcoming the barriers of being misinformed. Through this service, we, at TATA DOCOMO, aim at providing on-the-go solution to important issues such as lack of awareness about sex, particularly amongst the adolescents and the ever increasing concern on AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, physical abuse and socially unwanted behavior,” Dubash further added.

The service has a special navigational feature to allow the users to navigate quickly through related content capsules.  For example, if the user is navigating to a capsule in the following manner: select category like AIDS information and then the user will listen to capsule on AIDS with various options such as contraception, AIDS prevention, other sexually transmitted diseases, etc. Sparsh is meant for every single person who has the desire to learn about leading a healthy sex life, right from teenagers who are confused, newly married couples to senior citizens.
