The search for the ultimate business quiz aficionados will start again with the next edition of the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz, the toughest business quiz in India . For 5 years running, Tata Crucible has challenged and enthralled business minds across the country. Now in its 6 th year, the quiz promises to severely test the brightest minds of the corporate world. This property is a key Tata initiative focused on empowering young professionals to think on their feet and logically reason out responses, skills that are essential in today’s corporate life.
Known for its innovative quizzing formats over the past 6 years, the Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz will once again be presented in a new avatar that will keep the audience glued to their seats. The property website, www.tatacrucible.com , has also been revamped with enhanced interactive features. Since June 2009, an exciting online contest is being hosted on the website, which has received an overwhelming response with nearly 9000 registrations over 2 months.
The Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2009 will be conducted by the well-known quizmaster Mr. Giri Balasubramanian a.k.a ‘Pickbrain’ and will be held across 18 cities. It will commence with the regional rounds in Ranchi (Aug 8), Patna (Aug 9), Chennai (Aug 16), Goa (Aug 18), Cochin (Aug 23), Coimbatore (Aug 26), Hyderabad (Aug 29), Bangalore (Aug 30), Kolkata (Sept 5), Bhubaneswar (Sept 6), Indore (Sept 10), Pune (Sept 12), Mumbai (Sept 13), Chandigarh (Sept 15), Jaipur (Sept 18), Delhi (Sept 19), Lucknow (Sept 20) and Ahmedabad (Sep 22). The 18 winning teams from the regional rounds of non-Tata tracks will qualify for the National Finals, which will be held in end-September . (Refer to schedule for details)

The winning team from each regional round will receive prize money of Rs.75,000/- and the runner up team will receive Rs.35,000/-. Apart from the cash prize, there are several exciting prizes for the finalists and audience at each city. The National Champions will receive prizes worth Rs. 4 lakh as well as the coveted Tata Crucible Business Quiz trophy.
Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2009- Rules
- There is NO ENTRY FEE
- Each team would comprise of two members from the same organization.
- Team composition cannot change once the prelim has been taken
- ANY NUMBER of TEAMS from the same organisation can take part
- A team can participate only in one location.
- Teams are requested to participate from their current city of work only. If a team cannot participate from their current city of work for any reason, they are requested to inform the organizers who will advise the participants on the city closest to the city of their work from where they can participate.
- All participants are required to carry valid proof of employment (photo ID along with visiting cards) to the venue and display the same on demand .
The Quiz Format
PRELIMS: This is a written elimination for all contestants at each regional round followed by the Regional Final on stage.
REGIONAL FINAL: The top 6 teams from the written Prelims will qualify for the Regional Finals held after the prelims at the same venue. The Winning Team from Regional Final will participate in the National Final held in Mumbai.
