The Telecom Engineering Services (TES) division in Prithvi has clocked an order book position of Rs. 100 crores this fiscal & expects its order book and sales pipeline to reach up to 500 crores by the next fiscal. Prithvi Information Solutions is known to be a pioneer in Telecom infrastructure and support services, services marquee customers such as Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks, Huawei, ZTE and BSNL in India, Brazil and other countries. With the emergence of new operators & existing operators growing in India, Brazil and other emerging markets, Prithvi expects their business to grow exponentially. Currently its operations cover India, the Middle East, Canada and Brazil.
In the year 2009, Prithvi successfully completed close to 15% of the new network rollouts in India. It is estimated that the Telecom operators will add close to 150,000 new sites as part of their regular mobile user addition programs in the year 2010. With the much anticipated 3G rollout expected to happen this year, close to 50,000 sites have been upgraded replacing existing 2G equipments. In addition, new rollouts are expected for Greenfield operators. The market size for Telecom Infrastructure, Installation & Commissioning and RF services is about $8 billion dollars in India.
