Thai Airways International is celebrating 50 years of world class service and connecting world in 2010. On this occasion, Thai Airways announced 3 new flights from Mumbai on TG340. This takes number of weekly flights from Mumbai to 10. In addition to this, THAI Airways International announced a special fare to Australia in two category, for Sydney, Perth, Brisbane at Rs 32000/- and for Auckland at Rs 37000.
As part of this celebration Thai Airways planned various events across world like a “retro” flight from Bangkok to Hong Kong and a commemorative book released in July 2010.
Beginning its maiden flight to Kolkatta in 1960, Thai Airways International in India today has reached 45 flights. They are operating from 5 most important cities in India – Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata. THAI network includes over 70 destinations in 5 continents. Thai plans continuous upgrades and improvements to all in-flight products including the upgrade of its longhaul Boeing 747 fleet and the introduction of the A380 aircraft by 2012.
