His Excellency Mr. Thomas Matussek, Ambassador of Germany visited Amity University Campus, Sector – 125, Noida, to explore the possible avenues for mutual cooperation between Germany and Amity University in the areas of Academics, Training, Innovation, Scientific and Technological Research.
During the interactive session between Mr. Matussek and Amity students and faculty members of German language, Mr. Matussek shared his views on India and said “Every country has a culture of its own and the aim should be to find out the best out of each culture. India no doubt is a linguistically advanced country as every Indian can speak at least two languages.”
During the brain storming session with the Heads of Institutions of Higher Education and scientists of Amity, His Excellency Mr. Thomas Matussek, Ambassador of Germany said “Amity owns incredible intellectual resource and it is heartening to witness that the Indian students are taking deep interest in learning the German language”. He added that, “it is this interest and effort of the students and teachers that will carve a bright future for Indo-German relation, which will further enable the two countries to make the most of this cooperation to meaningfully contribute in various avenues of innovation and specifically in the field of Science.”
Sharing the experience of his thirty years in Germany, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Group advised the Directors of Amity to identify more areas in the field of Science and Technology, where Germany and Amity can work hand in hand in order to make effective contributions to the entire globe.
Dwelling upon the benefits of Indo-German collaboration, Mr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said “Synergy of German and Indian effort and intellect will enhance the idea of Indo-German collaboration and will bring about incredible advancements to the world.”
The discussions and deliberations were preceded by a tour of the Amity campus, during which the Ambassador was shown the splendid infrastructure and hi tech laboratories of Amity University.
