Tata Teleservices Limited, the country’s fastest-growing dual-technology telecom service provider, today announced the launch of a revolutionary new access device—Tata Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router—which enables multiple users and devices to share wireless Internet access and stay connected on the go. The Tata Photon Wi-Fi Router allows broadband Internet access speeds up to 3.1 Mbps (downlink) and 1.8 Mbps (uplink).
Tata Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router is supported with an in-built battery for 2.5 hours of seamless operation and sports a RJ45 Ethernet port for local area network (LAN) support. This feature allows you to even simply plug the device into your laptop or desktop and get connected instantly.
“TTSL has always believed in introducing innovative products and solutions in the telecom industry, with the objective continually upgrading the telecom experience of our subscribers,” Mr Anil Sardana, Managing Director of Tata Teleservices Limited, said. “Our latest offering—Tata Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router—reaffirms that commitment, making connectivity easy and relevant for a cross-section of user categories. This portable device marks a breakthrough in the Wi-Fi space and is yet another first-of-its-kind product in the country,” he added.
The sleek new product will be especially relevant in the context of today’s fast-evolving and changing products, most of which are Wi-Fi-enabled—laptops, desktops, i-Pads, mobile phones, even digital cameras…
“The innovative new product allows not just Internet and e-mail access, but caters to a host of other applications as well through any Wi-Fi-ready device, such as large file downloads, photographs, spreadsheets, and much more. Best of all, given its Wi-Fi capabilities, it allows multiple users to stay connected simultaneously,” Mr Lloyd Mathias, Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices Limited, said. “The TATA Photon Wi-Fi Pocket Router is slim and compact, making it convenient to carry even in one’s pocket. With this new product, TTSL has taken the concept of ‘Anytime, Anywhere’ to the next level,” he added.
