Vinati Organics Limited (BSE code: 524200), the world’s largest manufacturer of Isobutylbenzene (IBB), which is the basic raw material for manufacture of Ibuprofen (the popular analgesic bulk drug), reported a robust growth in revenues and profit after tax for the year ended, March 31, 2010.
The company saw an increase in net sales by an impressive 22% from Rs. 190.50 Cr to Rs. 231.76 Cr during the same period for the last fiscal. The profit after tax for the year ended March 31, 2010 stood at Rs. 40.05 Cr, resulting into an increase of 59%, as against Rs. 25.13 Cr in the corresponding period of the last fiscal.
Earnings per share went up to Rs. 8.11 as against Rs. 5.09 in the previous year recording an increase of about 59%.
Commenting on the results Ms. Vinati Saraf Mutreja – Executive Director, Vinati Organics Ltd. said, “Its been another strong year from VOL in terms of top line and the bottom line. Going ahead we believe we should be able to maintain our present growth trend with our continued focus on expansion and introduction of new products.”
