'1,000 acres of Gram Samaj land under unauthorised occupation'

"Land grabbing is identified in around a dozen villages. Today we cleared the roadside encroachments in Jewar. Besides removing the unauthorised occupations, efforts are on to ensure that the cleared land don't get re-grabbed by the mafias," SDM, Jewar Bachhu Singh said here.

The district administration has planned to demolish unauthorised constructions in 15 villages next week. In this regard, the district magistrate M K S Sundaram has written to district SSP to make arrangements for the required police force for the drive.

SDM Dadri Rajesh Kumar Yadav said unauthorised occupation has been identified in around 18 villages.

"Drive will be launched when we get the police force," Yadav said.

 

Meanwhile, the state government has directed the senior administration officials in all the districts to remove unauthorised occupation from ponds, cremation grounds and Gram Samaj land.
