An Army team from Tenga Garrison proceeding to Seppa the district headquarters on July 15 was informed by a boy about the poachers with the cub about a kilometer inside a jungle near Margingla village.
The armymen immediately cordoned off the area and found the injured cub during a search which the poachers left behind while fleeing.
The armymen took the cub to their camp and gave it first aid and handed it over to the Bear Rescue Centre at Pakke Tiger Reserve on July 18, an official communiqu
