Hundreds of DYF members formed human chains at Moulali, Shyambazar and Hazra crossings, among some areas halting traffic from 12 noon for 15 minutes as part of the CPI(M)-led Left Front's six-day protest programme in West Bengal.

The DYF agitators carried posters blaming the UPA government's 'anti-people policies' and called for immediate rollback of the price.

The DYF also criticised Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee taking out a procession here in protest against the petrol price hike as a 'gimmick'.
