The 1981 romantic comedy film starred Rakesh Bedi, Ravi Baswani and Saeed Jaffrey alongside the lead actors.

The Sai Paranjpe film is about three students- Siddharth (Farooq), Omi (Rakesh) and Jai (Ravi) at Delhi University, who don't go home during summer vacation and how life takes a turn when Neha (Deepti Naval) comes into picture.

The remake version stars Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, Taapsee Pannu, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles. Juhi Chawla and Anupam Kher are also set to play surprise roles in the movie, which releases on April 5.

Now that everything is in place, the 55-year-old actress is curious to see how things turn out in the remake.

"There won't be innocence of those years, of the 80s but what would be the interpretation of today is something I would like to see. David Dhawan was an assistant when Farooq and I were doing 'Saath Saath'. So we will have to see how the film has come out," Naval told PTI here.

"I am sure it will be exciting to see what the three boys and the girl would have done. I want to see what they would do when placed in today's times and how they will react today, their chemistry," she said.

"Today films are entertaining, loud with lot of music, item numbers. There are couple of films that are new and very nice to watch. I am sure lot of such films will come out. I am looking forward to this year," Naval added. (MORE)
