The female elephant aged between 55-60 years died of cardiac arrest in the Baliguda forest division, Baliguda DFO, Janab Hanif Mohammed said quoting the post-mortem report.
The carcass was spotted by villagers lying near a nullah on Thursday and the post-mortem examination was conducted yesterday, he said.
