officials of Rourkela Steel Plant fell ill after coming in contact with industrial gas last night, police sources said.
The two senior officials C P Sharma, DGM Energy Management Department and A C Sahu, AGM Safety were inspecting a shutdown in Coal Chemicals Department when gas was released during a booster replacement exercise, the sources said.
Besides Sharma and Sahu, two others, G Oram and B K Ojha of Unimak were affected by the gas.
The four were rushed to the Ispat General Hospital.
Sharma, Sahu and Oram were under treatment, while Ojha was released after first aid.
