The truck was chased after it knocked down the cyclist on the NH-28 under Teghra police station area in Bihar's Begusarai district last night, Teghra police station's Station House Officer S K Mauar said.
After interception the truck was found with the contraband in 19 sacks which was seized, he said.
The driver, however, escaped, he said.
Local people blocked the highway to protest the growing incidents of road rage, with senior officials rushing to the spot to pacify them.
