'Govt making efforts to improve rural infrastructure in J-K'

"Government is formulating plan to bring every corner of state's rural areas at par with urban centres by providing improved infrastructure facilities," Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla said after launching Rs 1.18 crore development works at Chatha Pind near here.

Bhalla asked the accompanied Roads and Buildings, Power Development Department (PDD) and Public Health Engineering (PHE) departments engineers to put their best in providing public utilities to rural people.

The Centre and the state government have launched a number of development schemes to improve standard of living in villages, he said adding that adequate funding has been released for such schemes.
