A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice M Y Eqbal and Justice A Arumugasamy, directed issue of notices to the Home Ministry Secretary and Chief Secretary, Tamil Nadu government.
Government pleader Venkatesh took notice for the state government while, central government Senior Standing Counsel Mohan Murali took notice for respondents and sought time to take instructions.
The matter was posted after four weeks.
