Tourism and Culture Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora, who reviewed the fiscal and the financial achievements of the Zanskar Tourism Development Authority here today said they will approach the central government soon.
"To promote adventure tourism and create tourist related facilities in the area, J&K Government is formulating a detailed project of Rs 29.90 crore, which after approval of the state government would be submitted to Central Government for approval of funding," Jora said.
He said that tourism potential of Zanskar area is being explored fully with the upgradation of the infrastructure.
Jora said that three Tourism Development Projects of Rs 39.78 crore were being implemented under the State Plan and Centrally sponsored schemes.
He said so far Rs 11.99 crore have been released against which Rs 11.89 crore for infrastructure development.
Minister of State for Tourism, Culture and Home, Nasir Aslam Wani was also present in the meeting.
