"Yes the deputy chief minister will be arriving tomorrow to discuss with Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and urge those who fled from our state to return as Bangalore is absolutely safe," Karnataka IGP Bhaskar Rao said here today.

He said over 32,000 professionals and students fled the state in six trains out of panic based on rumours.

"There was fear of attacks after August 20 which has not taken place. We will appeal to those who had fled not to pay heed to rumours and come back," Rao said.

Ashoka will be accompanied by a high-level team which includes the state's director general of police.

Meanwhile, General Officer Commanding of army's four corps Lt Gen C A Krishnan briefed the chief minister about restoration of peace by the armed forces role in lower Assam.

He discussed the overall law and order situation with Gogoi.
