`Karunya' pharmacies to be set up in all districts

The first `Karunya' pharmacy had already started functioning at the medical college hospital here. The scheme is being implemented by the Kerala Medical Services Corporation.

In a press release here, the minister said work on setting up five new medical colleges in the state was progressing. The financial assistance for endosulfan victims had been raised to Rs five lakh.

A total of 402 doctors had been appointed in government hospitals last year through Public Service Commission, he said.
