"It was a brutal act. Our country's law does not provide enough punishment for rapists ... It is a maximum of seven years ... I say that rapists should be hanged," Prasad told a conference of the FICCI Ladies' Organisation here.
He said that it was not time to sit and discuss how to tackle the issue, but to take proactive steps.
