Speaker Biman Banerjee disallowed adjournment motions moved by Leader of the Opposition Suryakanta Mishra (CPI-M), besides Ajay De (Congress), demanding discussion on spurt in dengue deaths in the state and the government's failure to curb it.
As the Speaker refused to admit it saying the matter was not that serious that it needed a debate in the House, members of both Front and Congress benches protested and shouted slogans.
The Left members rushed to the well with placards and a green mosquito net shouting slogans against government's failure to curb the dengue menace.
Abdur Rezzak Mollah (CPI-M) sat in the well wrapped in the mosquito net while Left members went around him in circles for some time, before walking out.
Later, Mishra told reporters that there were 49 dengue deaths in the state since its outbreak and thousands were affected, but the government was taking no action to assuage the situation.

Left Front members again walked out after recess alleging that passage of the Panchayat (Second Amendment) and Panchayat Elections (Second Amendment) Bill, 2012 was a hasty move.
Mishra told reporters that the reservation for women, SC, ST and OBC was drastically reduced in the amendment, which Panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee categorically rejected at a press conference.
The opposition leader alleged that the government's lack of political will was explicit in its hasty action by which it forced passage of the amendment bills without any discussion with opposition parties.
Claiming that the previous Left Front government ensured not less than 50 per cent reservation for women and SC, ST in panchayats, he alleged that the state government backed out from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's earlier assurance that reservation would be increased in panchayat bodies.
Denying Mishra's charges, the minister said that the amendments were brought considering constitutional provisions, supreme court orders and panchayat laws to enhance the scope of reservation.
To a question, the minister said that the panchayat election would be held according to the decision of the Election Commission.
