The period romantic thriller, which was earlier slated for mid of Febrauary release, has been delayed to a month because the lead actor Ranveer hurt his back while shooting.
Moreover, Ranveer, who will also be shooting with Kareena Kapoor for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Ram Leela", will be unavailable to promote "Lootera" in January and February.
Instead of postponing Bhansali's schedule, director Vikramaditya Motwane and the film's producers decided to go for March 29 release.
Earlier, the shooting of the film was also affected due to the heavy snowfall in the northern part of the country.
