Over 2 lakh Kashmiri Pandits visit the shrine annually, which is located in the thick woods of Shankeracharya mountain range and overlooks the famous Dal lake.
"Ancient shrine of Mata Zeastha Devi will have Maha Yagya for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir on May 9," Zeashta Devi Prabhandhak Committee President B B Bhat said.
The Yagya will start on May 9 with 'Pushpa Archana' and 'Puran Ahuti' will be offered on May 10 followed by 'Prashad Vitaran', Bhat said.
