The judge, Ganga Sharan Ram Tripathy, found Ram Naresh Maharaj and his four sons guilty of murdering Ratan Maharaj.
The convicts were also fined Rs 5000 each.
The wife of the victim, Rinku Devi, had lodged a complaint at the Navkothi police station against Naresh Maharaj charging him and his sons with killing her husband on August 30,2008.
