Two other supporters were shot and injured, but their whereabouts were not known, the sources said.

"The matter was never reported to the police. We have come to know that the three persons were reluctant to inform the police due to fear of the GNLA," they said.

He said that he had directed the Superintendent of Police of West Garo Hills district to locate the other two injured persons.

To a question, Krishan said, "More security forces will be deployed in the area. We are going after the GNLA in a big way."
