The army's 12 Kumaon regiment arrested one Mohan Musahary following a tip off from Dalbari village under Boroma police station, defence sources said.
Musahary (29) was working as a "linkman" for the NDFB for quite some time and he was being interrogated.
One nine mm pistol and two live ammunition has been recovered from him.
