"Rs 318 crore has been spent under MGNREGA in Kashmir division for completing 25,142 works and generating 1.60 crore man-days," the spokesman said.
The information on the MGNREGA projects was given in a high-level meeting convened under the chairmanship of J-K Rural Development Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar today, he said.
Sagar has asked officers to speed up the process of implementation of various works undertaken under the flagship MGNREGA programme.
The minister directed the officers to conduct tours to remote areas to monitor the status of works and also get the requisite feedback from local representatives.
