"The role of Samajwadi Party in this case is especially disgraceful and it is being condemned throughout the country," she said at BSP's 'sankalp maharally' here.
She said the facilities granted through Mandal Commission recommendations are because of provisions made in the Constitution (Article 340) by Ambedkar and not socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia, considered as guiding light by Samajwadi Party.
"Mandal Commission was constituted as per Article 340 through which backwards got facilities in education and employment," she said, adding her government had safeguarded interests of all sections including backwards and Yadavs.
On the occasion, a 48-page book written by Mayawati on the need for reservation in promotions as well as BSP's struggles for it was distributed among party workers.
Alleging discrimination with those belonging to lower castes, she said that under the present government "Dalit officials and employees were being suspended even without proper inquiry forcing them to knock the doors of courts."
Mayawati said that while she had taken action against her own ministers on corruption, under the present government senior ministers are giving statements which could encourage "this disease".
The former chief minister said her helicopter was not allowed to land at the rally venue.
