"The revenues earned from taxes such as water and electricity bill, land revenue and from mines and minerals, in addition to central assistance, would stabilize the financial position of the state," Tuki said
Stating that Arunachal Pradesh had no resources of its own and solely depended on the Centre, Tuki said "the state is one of the few where everything is free."
Responding to a public memorandum on construction of proper town roads, Tuki said that concrete roads would replace existing roads in all district headquarters.
He also urged the people to not construct houses haphazardly so that the roads could be broadened in future.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for ADC headquarter at Dumporijo in Upper Subansiri district yesterday.
Tuki also laid the foundation stone for a Sub Divisional Office at Hakte-Ripa which was recently upgraded from a circle administrative headquarter at Baririjo.
