Based on a tip off, police raided the house of police havildar of Nalbari police station Kamini Sarma and recovered two live ammunition of AK-47 rifle, one .22 and another .22 rifle, 260 rounds of ammunition and four mobile handsets from Zowardi village late last night.
According to district superintendent of police Abu Sufian, two constables of Nalbari police station Bhagawan Saikia and Gopal Choudhury were arrested.
Alongwith the policemen, one NDFB militant Bipul Boro was also picked for allegedly being connnected with the incident.
The police suspect that the arrested were involved in an arms racket in the district of late.
