"It has been made political agenda. Amicable settlement of Ram temple in Ayodhya, is possible provided politicians are kept away from it," Maharaj, the Shankaracharya of Ramanand sect, said.

He asked the VHP and Babari Masjid Action committee to once again sit across the table and find out an amicable solution, since both were doing commendable work for their communities.

"There is no harm if, for the sake of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Muslims are allowed to construct mosque far away from temple in Ayodhya, since there is no difference between Eeshwar (God) and Allah," he said.

"Mathura was an example of harmony where two shrines are adjacent to each other at Shri Krishna janmasthan, yet cordial relations between both the community exists. The harmony between both the community is maintained owing to non-interference of politicians there," he said.
