Subdivisional Officer V. Shrivastva, with the help of the police, removed the flags planted yesterday, after a meeting with the police of Pradhannagar and Sukna outpost, Congress MLA from Matigara-Naxalbari Shankar Malakar, local residents and leaders of the minority community during the day.
"The police have removed the flags," Shrivastva said.
The MLA had alloted Rs 6 lakhs from his MLA development funds to develop the idgah as also a burning ghat, and burial ground beside it.
