The couple, Suchitra Chaturvedi and her husband Ajay Chaturvedi, reached the residence of the chief minister today after the Lucknow Police succeeded in catching the accused who had robbed her purse five days back.

When informed about their presence outside the residence, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav took out time from his busy schedule to mert them.

He went on to take details of the incident and lauded the role of both the Lucknow Police and the Chaturvedi couple in getting the case cracked in very little time.

The elderly couple informed the chief minister that the Lucknow Police acted swiftly to recover the looted goods.

Chaturvedi's purse was robbed under the Ghazipur police station area. It carried her credit card and other valuables. The robbers used her credit card to get their vehicle refuelled and were arrested.

They were apprehended by a police team in Gomtinagar police station and on identification by Chaturvedi, they were jailed under various sections of the IPC.
