Emergency surgeries stopped as OTs did not function and the OPDs witnessed pandemonium as outdoor tickets were not available.
Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division) Arvind Padhee intervened and directed the authorities not to effect the transfers for the time being and promised the striking workers that the state government would have a relook at the transfers, Hospital superintendent D N Moharana said.
