The project cost of each haat, to be set up at Purulia, Bishnupur in Bankura, Alipurduar in Jalpaiguri and at Jhargram in West Midnapore district, is around Rs three crore.
The haats would provide artisans and medium and small enterprises better marketing facilities, exposure to needs of buyers and permanent display of products.
The integrated rural marketing facility would be equipped with display-cum-sale area, particularly for those not having such facilities.
Expected revenue generation of each rural haat per year would be Rs 29.2 lakh.
