"The CBI has seized of the matter and inquiring into it. The state government would extend all cooperation to the investigating agency. Any action against the minister (Rajendra Darda) would be considered in consultation with the party higher-ups only after the CBI probe is completed," Chavan told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.
The school education minister and his elder brother Vijay Darda, a Congress MP, were named by CBI in its FIR filed on September 4 in coal block allotment scam.
Among the five companies named in the FIR is JLD Yavatmal which is said to be linked to the Darda family.
According to the FIR, the Darda brothers, in association with the Abhijeet Group, also named in the FIR, planned to set up a thermal power project in Yavatmal for which they got the coal blocks. The project, named after the Dardas' father Jawaharlal Darda, never took off.
