Police today seized 1,050 cartons of foreign liquor from a stationary truck in Harmara area of the city.
The consignment was illegally being transported from Haryana, a police officer said.
The driver fled the spot after leaving the truck on the roadside after seeing a police team, which went there to investigate a road mishap, the officer said, adding the truck owner was informed of the seizure and a case was registered against him.
