1,131 villages declared scarcity-hit in Raj

A total of 1,131 villages in Barmer and Jaisalmer districts have been declared "scarcity-hit" due to drought situation and poor rainfall in monsoon season.

Land Revenue Tax recovery would be exempted in these 1,131 villages till July 31 next year as these were declared scarcity-hit, an official statement today said.

Jaisalmer's 790 and Barmer's 341 villages are covered under this special announcement.
