1.3 kg heroin seized at India-Pak border

Security forces today recovered 1.3 kg heroin, arms and two mobile phones having Pakistani SIM cards from Kahangarh border outpost area.

Confirming the seizure, BSF DIG R P S Jaswal said troops had recovered 1.3 kg heroin worth Rs 6.5 Crore, one automatic pistol, one magazine, six cartridges, two Pakistani mobiles loaded with Pakistani Sims.

He said that BSF troops on duty in the border outpost area observed three packets lying in between concertina coil in a water channel along Border Flood Light line.

On opening of these packets drug, arms and ammunition were recovered, he said, adding that further investigations were on.
