In a crackdown on illegal businesses in Haryana, 1.38 lakh bottles of illicit liquor were seized and 84 people arrested in last days, while total 263 people were held for their alleged involvement in other cases.
As many as 1,38,730 bottles of illicit liquor, including Indian-Made Foreign Liquor, country-made liquor and beer, were recovered and 84 people arrested in this connection from various places in the state, a Haryana government release said today.
The action came as part of a drive launched by Chief Minister's special flying squads to curb manufacturing of spurious products and those indulging in unauthorised acts.

During the past two days the flying squads conducted raids at 308 places, arrested 263 people and registered 227 cases across the state, the official release said.
A milk manufacturing unit was raided at Sohna in district Gurugram.
"A huge quantity of synthetic milk and other products including soyabean oil, powder and other chemicals were recovered from this factory," it said.
Similarly, in a raid conducted on milk manufacturing unit in Pataudi in Gurugram district, a large quantity of synthetic milk powder, soyabean oil and other material was recovered.
Apart from this, samples of spurious cheese and ghee were obtained in two separate cases in Hisar and these were sent for examination.
So far, about 70 vehicles have been impounded at Yamunanagar, Samalkha, Dadri, Kurukshetra, Bhiwani and Sirsa as these were being run in an unauthorised manner. These included private buses, dumpers and tractor-trolleys, it said.
It added that action was being taken against a government doctor for doing private practice and another doctor for practicing without licence.
Six persons were arrested in connection with recovery of a large quantity of tarcoal at different places, the release said, adding of these, three were held and three tankers and 100 drums of tarcoal and huge quantity of raw material were recovered in Karnal.
Similarly, huge quantity of tarcoal was recovered during raid on a tarcoal factory at Rajound in district Kaithal.
The government said action was also being taken after raid on factory manufacturing tarcoal by burning old tyres and rubber in district Faridabad.
Necessary action was being taken after raid on a factory manufacturing spurious mineral water in Gurugram. A large number of filled and empty bottles and wrappers of a leading mineral water brand were recovered during the raid, it said.
