1.4 kg of gold seized at Hyderabad airport

The customs officials today seized 1.4 kg of gold bars from a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad here.

The passenger arrived by an Air India flight from Dubai in the early hours of morning. During the scanning, customs officials found two gold bars of 700 grams each concealed in the sides of a baby walker, a senior customs officer told PTI.

"He has been taken into custody and further investigation is on. He will be put under arrest once the questioning is over," the officer said.
