A Delhi-based man was arrested for allegedly producing fake documents for booking a rice to be exported to Singapore, police said today.
Rajnish Singh of Delhi was arrested two days back following a complaint made by Narinder Dhingra, partner of 'Dhingra Exports' in Kurukshetra, with the police on March 29 last, a police spokesperson said.
The complainant had alleged that Rajnish had cheated them by booking a container on name of his firm by using fake documents to export rice to Singapore.
The spokesperson said that during interrogation of the accused, the police have recovered his laptop which contains various documents including fake documents of Dhingra Exports.
The accused was produced before the court today which sent him to judicial remand for 14 days.
Police said the accused had filled papers to book a container last month for sending rice to Singapore, on basis of fake invoice and ID.
Police said that further investigations in the case are under progress.
